- Dressmaking, Pattern - Cutting, Fitting
& Finishing, and Basic Designing
Design and make patterns. Cut, fit and sew 10 garments.
All patterns and garments are designed and made using
student’s own measurements – course is
inclusive of block pattern – making.

- Advance Designing in Ladies Wear
Design and make 8 patterns. Cut, fit and sew 8 garments.
All designs are chosen by the student.

- Advance Designing in Children's Wear
Design and make 8 patterns. Cut and sew 8 garments,
2 hats and 1 pair of pants. All designs are chosen
by the student. Garments include 1 smocked embroidered
dress, 1 pin-tucked and laced dress. All children’s
garments are designed and made using standard block
size measurements.

- Bridal Wear
Design and make 4 veils, 1 floral headpiece, 1 bridal
hat, design and make 1 bridal dress and 1 bridal underskirt,
design and make 1 bridesmaid dress, design and make
1 complete page boy suit. Design and make 1 bridal
bouquet. All designs are chosen by student.

- Draping
Design and make 8 garments. To form a pattern/design
the student has to drape and pin material on a dressform.
All designs are chosen by the student.

- Fashion Drawing
Draw all parts of the human body, put together all
parts to form a full figure. The full figure is then
dressed in garments of various designs of the student’s
choice. Colour work is carried out in both paint as
well as pencil.

- Grading
25 lessons. Each lesson explains the industrial method
of scaling patterns to both large as well as small
sizes, using various basic & advance block patterns.
All 24 lessons are graded in half scale. A choice
of 3 designs will be graded in full scale. First seven
lessons – each consisting of seven stages, sketched
individually.

setting of different types of zips, pockets, frills,
